The Tudor Place, Georgetown, Washington DC
Luke and I had our engagement shoot this past July at the Tudor Place in Georgetown, DC. It was about 96 degrees (sweaty!) but so wonderful. We chose the Tudor place because of their gorgeous gardens, European architecture, and stunning streets that surround it which makes for a great mix of backdrops.
When we decided to postpone our wedding, I knew July was going to be a difficult month to get through so I wanted to plan a few fun things to make it a little easier. Our session at the Tudor Place had been postponed at least 3 times and our photographer, Klaire, was incredibly flexible and was willing to make just about anything work for us. We also had the wonderful Dorsey Beauty do my hair and makeup while Floret and Vine created a mockup of my bridal bouquet. I also spent a decent amount of time on Luke’s outfits and I have to say the man can wear a suit! I tried on at least 30 dresses over the course of 6 months but ended up going with the first one I tried on even though the black felt a little risky, it was just more me. Always go with your gut!
The Tudor Place is full of sweet flowers and little bunnies hopping around which made for a dreamy evening. I hope you enjoy these photos by Klaire Dixius, we can’t wait for May! No, seriously, can it be May 2021 already?!
